About
The Atlanta Urban Debate League (AUDL) hosts several elementary, middle, and high school debate tournaments throughout the year. Most volunteers with the AUDL serve as judges for debates during tournaments.
After registering here to be a volunteer in the AUDL, you will receive further information about completing the process. You will be asked to do the following:
- Pass a background verification by HireRight.
- Complete online training courses for working with minors.
- Sign an agreement that you understand the expectations and risks of volunteering in the AUDL, and a covenant not to take legal action.
- Attend a judge training session prior to the start of the first debate round

Requirement Details
To engage with Atlanta Urban Debate League Programming, you will be required to complete the onboarding process before arriving at the event. Volunteers and Student Interns only need to complete the onboarding process once per year.
Volunteer Onboarding (Not Emory Affiliated)
Volunteer Onboarding (Emory Affiliated) (complete the Volunteer Orientation module for onboarding, entire course not necessary)
Upon arrival for in-person programming, you will participate in judge training before the start of Round 1.
