Emory is excited to be back for our fifth year participating in the Atlanta Pride Festival We're looking for employees to help represent Emory and engage with event attendees at our booth in the festival marketplace in Piedmont Park. You may also wish to join us and march in the city's largest parade on Sunday. Sign up today for a volunteer shift or to join the parade.
Booth Volunteer Duties: Volunteers can expect to help share information on services & programs for the LGBTQIA+ community, facilitate a fun fitness activity, and more. *Please note- volunteers will be expected to stand for the entire shift and this event is rain or shine.
Volunteer Shifts: Employees are welcome to sign up for multiple shifts based on availability, but you may only be approved for one shift. This will be done in order to give as many employees as possible the chance to help out and volunteer at Pride.
Location: The festival marketplace will take place in Piedmont Park. Our booth is number 1 in the Orange area.
T-Shirts: Approved employee volunteers will receive an Emory Pride t-shirt at our booth at the start of their shift. Shirts will also be provided for employees walking in the parade.
Friends & Family: While we understand you may be attending the festival before or after your volunteer shift with your friends and family, we ask that during your shift, your friends and family do not hang out at our booth. They are welcome to stop by, but they cannot stay there for your entire shift time. Friends and family are welcome to join you for the parade march!
