Community Building and Social Change Fellowship (CBSC)

The Community Building and Social Change (CBSC) Fellows Program is designed to present both challenges and opportunities in building a stronger, contemporary, urban America. To realistically effect positive change where it’s needed the most, Fellows are trained and given the proper tools to make a difference through academic coursework, an intensive paid 10-week hands-on summer field experience, site visits, small group meetings, and public presentations.  

The entry point for the CBSC program is a fall course - 370A Community Building and Social Change. This is a great course for anyone wanting to understand how the sectors of society have impacted communities. The course requires application and can be taken as POLS, SOC, ENVS or CBSC. There is a minor in CBSC you can earn if you complete the full program and 3 approved electives.
